R H Y T H M is one of the most basic ingredients of music which represents its aspect of motion.In other words, rhythm may be described as casting of time into groups of proportions.In the music of various areas in the world, rhythm is prioritized as the main ingredient. African tribal and Latin American music are examples of such approach. D A A R K O O B was formed during the summer of 2007 under the leadership of Homayoon Nasiri.The creators in this group have aimed at blending the rhythms of different regions of Iran and the rest of the world, by mixing and arranging regional musical attributes for other instruments into new forms, resulting in active, dynamic, exciting and at the same time, ornamental rhythms. Improvisation and fluidity are among major characteristics of Daarkoob's music which are shared among the variety of musical forms of our world.Still oriental approach to rhythm, and rhythms from various regions in Iran are aimed to be the main basis of the group's activity. And as a result, to underline the National aspect of Daarkoob's music, melodies from regional and classical Iranian music have been integrated into some of the pieces.
